From The East: September 2010

Another Month has gone by and the lodge is still busy. We will have a Fellow Craft return and Master Masons Degree on Sept 7, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Please call Brother McCormick and sign up for a spot on the degree team.

We continue the Tuesday night schools and I hear that a couple of the Brothers are working on Lectures and other necessary ritual that will increase the number of members who can help out at the lodge.

Our steak night dinner was well attended and after an afternoon of concern about the usefulness of the refrigerator all came out well and the steaks were great. Thanks Jim, Pam, Elvin and all who helped make it a success.

I have designated October as Wardens night and the OES will be providing dinner for that evening. Please put this on your Calendar and plan to come and support your Wardens as they put together a great program. November will be Past Masters Night.

We still have several members who have not paid there 2009 and/or 2010 dues. Brethren these dues are critical to your membership in the fraternity and any appendant bodies you may belong to and enjoy. This month we will be sending citations for those who have not paid the 2009 dues or made arrangements with myself or the Secretary. The lodge also needs the money to operate. Remember that the dues will be increasing next year to $65.00 a year plus Grand Lodge assessments which totals at $93.00 for 2011. LMIP is still available for $1248.00 till Dec 15, of this year. Please call me if you have any questions.

I want to invite all our members to an Amaranth Diabetes walk at Meadow Event Park near Kings Dominion on Saturday September 9, 2010. Registration will start at 0830 hrs and the walk will start at 1000 hrs. Three miles is a short distance and 100% of the money will go to fight this dreaded disease. If you can’t make it I am walking and will accept any and all sponsors. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Need more info please call me.

Brethren it is your lodge please come out and enjoy it. Remember the youth meetings as well.

Fraternally
